Alaina Murphy, LCPC

Alaina grew up in Wisconsin where her father ran an alternative high school and her mother was a school social worker. “Helping Professions” are in her DNA. Alaina received her bachelors degree from Harvard University, where she was a member of the varsity cross country and track and field teams. She received her MS in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Before opening Contemporary CBT, Alaina worked for a group private practice, where she honed her skills as a clinician. Open to seeing clients of all ages and presenting concerns, Alaina specializes in mood, anxiety, and relationship issues in teens and adults.

Bridget Murphy, LCSW

Bridget has a graduate degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has experience working in a variety of clinical settings. Currently, Bridget offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for clients of all ages with a specialty in children and adolescents presenting with social, emotional, and behavioral concerns. After working in schools for two years, Bridget is intimately familiar with helping children and families manage academic stressors and navigate the school setting with minimal interference from psychological distress. As a former Division 1 college track athlete, Bridget understands the unique demands and pressures placed upon student-athletes and other performers.

Emily Carlino, LCSW

Emily brings years of experience to our team at Contemporary CBT. After completion of her graduate studies, Emily worked in an intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization setting, honing her skills as a CBT clinician and exposure therapist. Emily then spent nearly 4 years in private practice, working with individuals across the lifespan before joining Contemporary CBT. She specializes in anxiety, OCD, and mood disorders. Emily is dedicated to her craft and has an expert ability to make clients feel comfortable. She’s an astute and compassionate clinician who can help clients navigate complex situations.

Clare graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BA in Journalism with an Emphasis in Strategic Communication. Prior to joining Contemporary CBT, Clare participated in undergraduate research at UW studying the role of communication in politics and health. She also worked in Human Resources at North Memorial Hospital helping staff navigate changes caused by Covid-19. In her free time Clare loves spending time outdoors with her dog and reading!
